Beetles threaten 900-year-old Welsh castle

A 900-year-old Welsh castle that has withstood sieges and civil war could be brought down by beetles. Hay Castle was built in the late 12th century by Norman lord William de Braose, and its current owners aim to use it as a base for a new centre for arts and culture. The castle is in the market town of Hay-on-Wye, which is a major draw for tourists thanks to its literary festival, secondhand bookshops and adventure sports.
