Every month we receive many applications from people keen to work with Lonely Planet. It's fantastic to hear from so many inspiring creatives, and we're keen to work with a diverse travel community.
We're always keen to work with talented contributors and showcase a diverse range of voices on lonelyplanet.com. Whether you're a feature writer, videographer, photographer, or a combination of all three, we're keen to hear more about your original ideas.
Please send your pitch via email@example.com. Please include a summary of your idea, links to previous work and whether or not this subject has been covered by LP before. We'll be in touch if we're interested in working with you. We receive a lot of pitches every day; thanks in advance for your patience!
Lonely Planet publishes daily news stories from around the world to inspire your next adventure. We are always on the look out for positive, inspirational and visually appealing content for our readers and social platforms. If you have a story you think our readers would like, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the details.
We just need to know a little bit about you and a brief outline of the proposed story: why it is of interest to travellers and whether you can supply supporting images/video.
Lonely Planet is world-famous for its guidebooks and has destination content for almost every place on the planet. To create this expert content, we have an established pool of more than 200 skilled and experienced freelance writers out on the road, covering the world from Sydney to Senegal.
We’re always happy to hear from talented and passionate travel writers, so if you want to apply, please fill out the Guidebook Writer Application Form by clicking here.
We will be in touch only if your skills and experience match our needs. You’ll then need to complete the series of assessments that all our writers have to pass with flying colours.
On the inside
As well as opportunities for freelance contributors, we have openings for staff at our offices around the world. Designers, developers, editors - all that kind of stuff. See our careers page for more.
