An iconic Art Deco hotel in the heart of Miami has just unveiled a brand new look with refreshed spaces, new amenities and a locally-inspired programme of events. Located in Miami Beach, Nautilus by Arlo even features a stylish barbershop with a secret cocktail lounge.

The recently-revamped hotel has revealed a redesigned lobby and public spaces aimed at providing a suitable environment for digital nomads and business travellers. It includes a large communal table, as well as little nooks for privacy and space. As well as that, the lobby also now houses a 24-hour pantry selling coffee and artisanal food, as well as gifts.

One of the more unique aspects of the hotel is the inclusion of Blind Barber, modelled on a neighbourhood barbershop (with the addition of a cocktail lounge hidden behind a door at the back that opens at night). It also boasts an 1890-square-foot heated saltwater pool with an underwater sound system, Mediterranean restaurant Nautilus Cabana Club, a 24-hour fitness centre and 12,000-square-feet of outdoor space for events.

Programming will not only target prospective guests travelling through Miami. The hotel is working to create events that invite local culture and the community inside. Monthly talks on green living are currently underway, bringing in experts to help guests live a more sustainable lifestyle. Other events include movies at the pool and cooking classes with Nautilus Cabana Club chef Richard Fuentes.
“Our goal is to make the hotel a gathering place for guests and locals alike, both through events and programming, as well as our like-minded partners bringing a new perspective to South Beach,” said Karan Kakar, general manager at Nautilus. “We’re thrilled to be bringing the Arlo experience to Miami, allowing travellers to immerse themselves in the art, relaxation and culture that makes this city unique."
