With pod travel gaining in popularity at present thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, a one-off offer by a vacation rental site may appeal to a group wanting to embark on a socially-distanced ski trip.
Vrbo is offering one family group a three-night vacation rental listing for just $100 a night, which is a fraction of its usual cost. The ski cabin at Eagle Point Resort in Beaver, Utah, sleeps 16 and is surrounded by forested glades and slopes, and it comes complete with a totally private ski mountain. This means that the group can enjoy an unforgettable experience without another skier or snowboarder in sight.
The experience also comes with private ski instruction and ski rentals. The 2900-square-foot cabin has five bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed, three bedrooms with queen beds and a bunk room that sleeps eight people. There is parking for five vehicles, and as the cabin is situated on Glacier Glade ski run, guests can ski in and out to it and enjoy its spectacular views.
“Demand for Vrbo properties in mountain destinations within driving distance from home is higher this year, and homes are quickly booking up," says Melanie Fish, Vrbo’s travel expert. "To inspire families to start planning their ski vacations, we created a one-time only listing that combines everything people love about a winter getaway in a Vrbo: privacy, breathtaking natural beauty, access to the outdoors, room to spread out, and an opportunity to make some epic memories together.”
The stay will be available from 15 to 18 February 2021. Those interested in applying for this listing should visit here on 30 October at 1pm EDT, when one group will snag the booking for themselves.
