The three-Michelin-star chef's Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Beverly Hills is now open on the roof of Gucci’s Los Angeles store on Rodeo Drive. A first for both Bottura and Gucci in the US, it will seat nearly 50 guests for lunch and dinner seven days per week. The restaurant has outdoor seating and offers sprawling views of Beverly Hills.

Massimo’s collaboration with Gucci began in 2018 with Gucci Osteria at the Gucci Garden in Florence, which was recently awarded one Michelin star. The partnership originates from a childhood friendship between Bottura and Gucci CEO, Marco Bizzarri, who grew up together in Modena. It celebrates their shared love of two core Italian cultural themes: food and fashion.

Chef Mattia Agazzi is at the helm of the kitchen, and he previously worked as sous chef under Karime López, the chef de cuisine at the restaurant in Florence. Signature dishes from Bottura will have a place on the menu. In addition, the restaurant will source local and organic produce from farmers’ markets to include in the Italian dishes.

The new Gucci outpost will allow Bottura to develop and transform classic Italian recipes into cross-cultural compositions by mixing references, techniques and flavors within each dish. Gucci aims to intertwine the worlds of culture, food and fashion together to create an unforgettable LA experience.
