With the news that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open at Disneyland in California on 31 May, many fans will want to be among the first to check it out. Those who wish to visit the theme park’s much-anticipated new land between opening day and 23 June will not be able to do so without a prior reservation, and there are specific ways to secure that all-important guarantee of entry.
Information on how to do this will be released on 2 May at 8am PT, and registration will open two hours later. It is expected that reservations will be in four-hour increments, with specific entrance and exit times. Guests will need Disneyland admission tickets along with the separate Star Wars land reservation, so it may be advisable to secure those in advance. They will also need to sign up for a Disney account.
Hotel guests staying at Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier hotel during these dates will automatically receive one free reservation per guest. They will also need to have valid Disneyland admission tickets to be able to see Oga’s Cantina for themselves and to fly the Millennium Falcon on an interactive smuggling mission. They will also be able to check out the Black Spire Outpost shops and Droid Depot.
After 24 June, a separate reservation for the land will no longer be required. However, capacity is limited and access to the park, land and experiences may be restricted or unavailable depending on guest demand and other factors. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will not be available during Extra Magic Hour or Magic Morning at Disneyland Park, and Disney FastPass service and Disney MaxPass are unavailable for attractions.
