The constant stream of travel photos on Instagram can provide endless inspiration for your next trip, but you may notice that certain destinations are filling up your feed. Luckily, one travel booking site is trying to help travellers find the next big destination by singling out spots that offer a new twist on destinations that have already surged in popularity. CheapOair.com has released a list of some alternative destinations that will get you plenty of Instagram likes – and the average price for a ticket from the US.

The Faroe Islands (instead of Iceland)

Iceland has seen an unprecedented boost in visitors in recent years, but you can get all the epic landscapes and Nordic vibes in the lesser-visited Faroe Islands. The islands, located between Iceland and Denmark, are an off-the-radar spot where you can explore without the crowds. The average airfare for summer travel from the US to the Faroe Islands is $1193.

Hainan (instead of Singapore)

China’s largest tropical island has beach vibes and some major luxury resorts. CheapOair.com is pitching the spot as an alternative to Singapore, noting that the Chinese government has recently granted 30-day visa-free access to the island for tourists from 59 countries including the United States. The average airfare for summer travel from the US to Hainan is $1343.

Wrocław (instead of Prague)

The Polish city shares Prague’s beautiful architecture, but with a more relaxed vibe. Wandering the beautiful central square will provide a beautiful and colourful backdrop for all those photos you want to take. The average airfare for summer travel from the US to Wroclaw is $1086.

The Azores (instead of Costa Rica)

You’ll get all the stunning beaches, greenery and volcanoes you desire on these Portuguese islands. They are also a less-than six-hour flight from the East Coast. The average airfare for summer travel from the US to the Azores is $770.

Montenegro (instead of Croatia)

Stunning coastlines and historic cities have led to a massive tourism boom in Croatia. But neighbouring Montenegro offers up a similarly beautiful experience. The city of Kotor was named by Lonely Planet as the top city to visit in 2016 and its profile has continued to rise. The average airfare for summer travel from the US to Montenegro is $1359.

Marrakesh (instead of Dubai)

Dubai has glitz and glamour, but Marrakesh has more gorgeous colours than the eye can handle. You won’t be able to stop snapping while wandering the winding alleyways and it’s also a great place to go to visit the Atlas Mountain range.
