With some of the biggest music festivals of the year taking place over the coming months,  coolcamping had a look into the most popular music festivals in the world according to Instagram.
10.Bonnaroo.   
Quite a recent addition to the festival line-up, having first launched in 2002. The festival is an exciting array of pop, rock, jazz, blues, gospel, reggae, and more. The event is held in the USA’s greatest musical state, Tennessee and this year will be held from 13-17 June, with acts including Post Malone, The Lumineers and Cardi B. 9. EDC: Electric Daisy Carnival, USA – 719,352 hashtags
The Las Vegas festival is an annual electronic dance event this year being held on 17-19 May. The festival was first launched in 1991-1993, before picking back up in 1997 and running every year since. What makes this fest extra-special is the 3D superstructures, glow-in-the-dark apparatus, and art installations – plus the selection of funfair rides. This year’s acts include 4B, Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyke.

9. EDC: Electric Daisy Carnival, USA – 719,352 hashtags The Las Vegas festival is an annual electronic dance event this year being held on 17-19 May. The festival was first launched in 1991-1993, before picking back up in 1997 and running every year since. What makes this fest extra-special is the 3D superstructures, glow-in-the-dark apparatus, and art installations – plus the selection of funfair rides. The festival is mainly known for its music – comprising rock, pop, RnB and more - but also includes dance, comedy, theatre and circus acts. The festival is mainly known for its music – comprising rock, pop, RnB and more - but also includes dance, comedy, theatre and circus acts. 7. Rock in Rio, Brazil – 990,110 hashtags. As the name suggests, Rock in Rio is traditionally held in Rio, though the event has also spanned out to Lisbon, Madrid and Las Vegas. The fest spans a variety of music styles from rock to pop, indie and heavy metal. 5. Burning Man, USA – 1,333,164 hashtags. It may well be one of the most iconic festivals in the world – held annually in ‘Rock City’, a temporary city set up in the Black Rock Desert of northwest Nevada. The festival first took place way back in 1986. The fest bills itself as ‘an experiment in community and art’ and is underpinned by 10 key principles, including radical inclusion and radical self-expression. Coachella first ran in 1999, then relaunched again in 2001 and has taken place every year since.
