The shortlisted photographs will be exhibited at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Berlin from 15 – 17 November, where visitors will be able to cast their vote for the overall winner, which will be announced during a Gala Dinner on Friday 17 November.

The competition is made up of four categories: Exterior, Buildings In Use, Interior, and Sense of Place, and aims to, “highlight the expertise of the specialist architectural photographer, translating the sophistication of architecture into a readable and understandable two dimensions, explaining and extolling the character, detail and environment of the project”.

The final selection includes images of a recently completed chapel in Ceres, Cape Town that resembles a giant stingray, a colourful office building in Beijing and a museum looking over a stunning mountain range in Italy.
