With the 3D computer-animated comedy horror movie, 'The Addams Family,' currently playing at cinemas around the world, Booking.com is offering thrillseeking travellers the opportunity to book a stay in a real-life replica of the spooky family’s home.

'The Addams Family' is based on the fictional household of the same name created by Charles Addams in 1938, and it features a strange aristocratic clan who delight in the macabre. Originally created as cartoon characters, their popularity grew with 'The Addams Family' feature film in 1991 and 'Addams Family Values' in 1993. The 19th-century three-bedroom townhouse that can be rented is based on their home and is located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.

The 3700-square-foot house is decorated in a way that captures all the macabre ways that have made the family a fan favourite for decades. Decorated in true Addams Family fashion, there are vases of just rose stems, and you can try out Lurch’s famous “You rang” bell.

Guests will be able to tinker with machines in Pugsley’s Room, play with Wednesday’s beheaded doll in the living room, and even care for some of Morticia’s carnivorous plants. The experience comes complete with spooky snacks, a screening of the feature film and more.

The Addams Family Mansion is available for four exclusive overnight stays from 29 October until 1 November, and bookings open on 28 October at 12pm EST. To learn more and book the mansion, please visit here.
