After a three-year closure, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in Rio de Janeiro's  Zona Norte (North Zone) has re-opened its butterfly house doors as part of the 2015 National Science and Technology Week.

Visitors can roam the revived 84 square-meter space to encounter orange-tipped angled-sulphur, julia, owl and great southern white butterflies. The environment mimics the insects' natural surroundings and provides information about their life-cycles, survival skills, diet, and coloring. Read more: riotimesonline.com
