Excited for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Not as much as these Disneyland staff

Working at Disneyland is such a dream for many people that job openings frequently make headlines. But some staff who are already lucky enough to work there got even better news when they found out they’d be working at Star Wars: Galaxy Edge.

Disney recently revealed the official opening dates of the new Star Wars attractions at Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida, which will be much sooner than expected. That was enough to add to the already mounting excitement among fans, though it seems some of the most excited people are those who will be lucky enough to see it first.

Disney released a behind-the-scenes video showing the reaction of some staff members as they find out they will be among the first people working at one of the most anticipated expansions the park has ever seen. The unexpected staff are asked if they are ready to go to Batuu – the new smuggler’s planet that guests will get to explore – and there are more than a few tears.

According to the Orange County Register, members who will be part of the cast will wear costumes of First Order soldiers, rebels from the Resistance, or villagers form the Black Spire Outpost. In the video, one staffer is asked to be a bartender at the Oga’s Cantina – an exciting prospect for many Star Wars-loving adults, as it will serve alcohol.
