Stationery lovers can now visit Moleskine Cafés around the world

Moleskine are expanding their sleek and minimalist style beyond the world of stationery with the opening of a string of cafes around the world. Combining the smell of fresh coffee and the aroma of new paper is sure to set stationery lovers’ pulses racing!

Following the successful opening of the first Moleskine Café in Milan, where the brand was originally founded, the concept will now be rolled out globally with the next cafe opening in Beijing this week. Cafes are then planned to spring up in Hamburg, London and New York. Menus will combine Italian and cuisines local to each city, fine-tuned by the resident chefs.

The venture is a brand new format that reinterprets the concept of the café littéraire for the modern world. Mixing elements of a café, art gallery and shop, it aims to provide a creative and inspiring space, encouraging creativity.

The Moleskine Café in Geneva’s airport is a celebration of travel and creativity on the move.

The cafés will reflect the gorgeous design ethos of the Moleskine world: essential, clean and timeless aesthetics with a contemporary palette of neutral colours. The space will also feature an area where café visitors can purchase, and browse through the ecosystem, of Moleskine objects and products. There will also be special sections dedicated to exhibitions of architects, designers, illustrators and film directors’ work as well as scheduled events, talks and workshops at each café.

The first Moleskine Cafè in Asia opened its doors in Beijing in the city’s Taikoo Li.
