Every new building in Dubai is designed to impress, but plans for a new hotel that will be the tallest structure on Palm Jumeirah with a soaring sky pool certainly makes an impact.

Taking a dip in the 170-metre-above-ground pool won’t be for the faint of heart, but the pool, which will connect two towers of the new hotel, will also provide unparalleled views of the island of Palm Jumeriah and Dubai’s skyline. The new hotel, to be aptly named PALM360, is the first beachside resort from Raffles in Dubai. Set to open in 2021, the towers will contain Raffles The Palm Dubai Hotel and also private residences.

There will be 125 hotel rooms and suites, and naturally there will be a number of high-end restaurants, including two on the rooftop that will provide amazing views from the 260-metre-high buildings. For travellers who want to stay fit on the go, there will be a spa, health club and even a tennis court available.

The hotel will be located on the boardwalk of Palm Jumeirah, meaning it will be easy for guests to get to attractions like the Palm Promenade and the Dubai Marina. While the palm-tree-shaped island of Palm Jumeirah is filled with private residences, it is also home to a number of resorts, and PALM360 will be no exception. There will be exclusive beach access and a special private beach club.

If you can’t wait until 2021 to enjoy an opulent hotel experience in Dubai, then the Bulgari Resort & Residences has just opened in the city. From the Italian jewellery brand, the resort is the most expensive hotel in a city filled with pricey places to stay. In addition, a new hotel designed by architect Zaha Hadid is going to open in Dubai in the incredible Opus building in the city’s hip Business Bay.
