Checking out London’s museums and best-loved attractions has just got even more interesting thanks to a fun new treasure trail app that will challenge the mind and powers of observation.
Breadcrumbs is an app that makes treasure hunts for tourists to play on their phones as they explore their favourite English museums and attractions. It texts them cryptic clues that lead them on a trail, and they have to send the answer to the app to get the next clue.

Users need to find special items to solve each clue, but the app will give you hints if you get stuck. Hunts take around two hours and are designed to take users on a walking tour of the best bits of each location. The museums and attractions involved so far are the V&A, The Huntarian Museum, Kew Gardens, The Imperial War Museum, The Natural History Museum and Handel & Hendrix in London.
