Epic Retreats has launched eight cabins that will host 200 lucky guests in a very exclusive experience. All of the cabins are inspired by legends – the country is celebrating the “Year of Legends” as part of its latest tourism campaign – and will be the subject of a Channel 4 documentary in the UK.

Arthur's Cave is one of the pop-up glamping cabins in Wales from Miller Kendrick Architects.

Epic Retreats, along with Visit Wales, invited architects from around the world to take part in designing “glamping units” centered on the mythology and tradition of Wales. The cabins are inspired by legends like King Arthur, the “iconic Welsh dragon” and more, and were built specifically for the project.

Arthur’s Cave, created by Miller Kendrick Architects, is inspired by the famous legend and the story of a cave that “could be discovered once and never again”. Animated Forest takes its inspiration from the Welsh poem, Cad Goddeu, or the Battle of the Trees, and is meant to evoke a creature travelling through a woodland.
