The chance for a true breakfast at Tiffany’s has finally arrived in Europe with the opening of the first Tiffany Blue Box café in the Old Continent.
The Blue Box café will open in London following the one inside Tiffany & Co’s flagship store on New York City’s Fifth Avenue. The European café will be located inside the famous shopping centre Harrods, and it will be an ode to Tiffany’s history as one of the most famous jewellery and luxury brands around the world.
As the name suggests, the café’s inspiration comes from the famous blue boxes that contain every single Tiffany jewel – stepping into the café will “create the illusion of dining inside one” of those famed boxes starting from the famous Tiffany Blue colour, which of course will dominate the café’s design palette.
Some décor element will mirror those of the New York café, while others have been uniquely designed to suit this new London opening. What’s certain is that guests will be surrounded by Tiffany jewels as they enjoy a menu made up of locally sourced ingredients and offering breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner options. Among the dishes served there will be the Central Park Salad, for example, and the famous Blue Box Celebration cake.
“We are excited to introduce The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe in Europe and it seems only fitting to do so at Harrods, one of the world’s most iconic department stores,” said Richard Moore, divisional vice president of Global Store Design at Tiffany & Co in a statement. “By introducing The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe here, we offer our customers yet another way to immerse themselves in the world of Tiffany.”
The London Blue Box café will open this month just in time for Valentine's Day on 14 February, and to stay up to date or make your reservation you can check out Harrods’ official website here.
