To help make life easier for the millions of customers who visit annually, the Dubai Mall has just launched a brand new feature on its free app that should make the mall better to navigate. Simply put in the name of the store or restaurant you’re trying to find, and the app will guide you there using an indoor GPS system – the centre has free Wi-Fi so you’ll always be connected. The mall opened in 2008 and is now the world’s largest and most-visited retail and entertainment destination. It welcomed more than 92 million visitors in 2015 alone.

As well as shopping and food, the Dubai Mall features the popular Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo featuring thousands of aquatic animals and a 270-degree walk-through tunnel. There is a 22-screen multiplex cinema with a total capacity of 2800 seats, and an Olympic-sized ice rink.

The Fashion Avenue is a precinct dedicated to high fashion, while the Souk features jewellery shops, accessory outlets, traditional Arab clothing and handicraft stores. One of the mall’s unique precincts is an open-air streetscape, the Village, which offers a rich collection of denim brands and brings an outdoor community feel with tree-lined walkways, cafés and restaurants.

A massive expansion of the Dubai Mall is currently underway, paving the way to it welcoming over 100 million visitors. To help you navigate all it has to offer, the free app can be downloaded on both the App Store and Google Play.
