Children's favourites like Ben 10, Adventure Time and The Powerpuff Girls come to life in the newly-opened, family-friendly Cartoon Network Hotel.
Hotels near theme parks are becoming destinations in their own right and Dutch Wonderland's new neighbour is no exception. Offering an immersion into the world of animation, Cartoon Network's first hotel, in partnership with Palace Entertainment, has opened for bookings in 2020. Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (about 90 minutes west of Philadelphia) the hotel invites families to have a sleepover in their favourite cartoon through themed rooms, restaurants and play areas.
In addition to standard rooms, the 165-room property offers dream suites that cater to families of up to six, with their own kitchenette and living room. Outside guests can swim in the Land of P'ool, a large outdoor pool with a hot tub, private cabanas and sun loungers. Other water and splash activities include an indoor pool and water slides.
In Ben 10-inspired virtual reality "Omnicade" arcade, children can play the We Bare Bears VR game, as well as the Ben 10 VR experience. At the Cartoon Kitchen, the hotel's full-service restaurant, families can dine on tasty dishes like Adventure Time's bacon pancakes and Fox's chicken pot pie. Coffee and snacks are available in the We Bare Bears “Bearista” café.
“The Cartoon Network Hotel will be unlike any other property in the region,” said Rolf Paegert, chief operating officer of Palace Entertainment. “Cartoon Network characters and theming will bring the property to life and offer magical, interactive experiences around every turn. This hotel is going to set the standard for guest-focused, themed lodging immersion."
Cartoon Network Hotel sits next to Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park and will offer special park ticket packages to hotel guests. For more information, see here.
