If cruises come to an end all too quickly for you, a new cruise that will depart from London in August 2019 might be up your street if you have eight months to spare. Viking has revealed that its Ultimate World Cruise will take place on the Viking Sun liner, and will take in six continents, 59 countries and 113 ports on its epic 254-day voyage. It will have 22 port overnights and will be the longest-ever continuous world cruise itinerary.
The Ultimate World Cruise will include excursions in every port to allow guests to immerse themselves in the world’s cultures, and the overnight stays in 22 cities will allow them to delve deeper into destinations. Viking’s ‘Culture Curriculum’ offers additional enrichment on board with regional entertainment and lectures, as well as learning opportunities as part of the Viking Resident programme. Additional optional excursions provide insight into local life and the working world and offer visits to cultural institutions.
Viking will also offer guests an option to sail on one of two shorter segments during the cruise. They can choose between Viking World Treasures, a 127-day sailing from London to Los Angeles that visits 33 countries and 61 ports, or Viking World Wonders, a 119-day journey from Los Angeles to London that visits 29 countries and 55 ports. Guests also receive a complimentary shore excursion in each port and free unlimited Wi-Fi, and World Cruise guests also receive business class airfare and all gratuities and service fees, along with an extensive list of added-value included features in their cruise fare.
Pricing for the Ultimate World Cruise starts at $92,990 (€78,454) per person, World Treasures starts at $47,995 (€40,492) and World Wonders starts at $45,995 (€38,805) per person. Full details can be found on Viking’s website here.
