Indonesia has closed Bali airport, one of its busiest international terminals, until at least Thursday morning because of ash spewed by a volcano on nearby Lombok island.

A total of 692 flights have reportedly been cancelled, leaving thousands of passengers stranded on the holiday island. The latest airport closure follows Bali airport chaos in July, when a volcanic eruption in Java disrupted hundreds of flights to and from the island. Read more: reuters.com
