Where once vacation photos were saved for the realms of family albums and picture frames on office work desks, now thanks to social media, travellers can capture and share special moments instantly with friends, family and followers all over the world. For many people it’s a keepsake or a bit of fun, while others have managed to make full-time careers out of it. And now, a company has created a holiday experience specifically aimed at increasing social media following while making others jealous.
Created by Cheap Caribbean, the Vacation Envy Package “encourages wanderlusters to satisfy their travel itch and brag about it, shamelessly”, with the three-night trip to Bermuda including accommodation, personal photo shoots, spa time and tutorials from travel social media influencers. Guests taking part in the event will also receive a custom book created by the influencers with inside tips to take home with them.
Guests will stay at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club on Pitts Bay Road in Bermuda and spend one-on-one time with influencers Nastasia Yakoub and Jess Meyrick, taking part in workshops and on-location photoshoots. The property offers panoramic views of Hamilton Harbor, which will act as the backdrop for some of the images. Upon arrival, guests will be given spa treatments in a dedicated wellness centre before settling down to relax for the evening. The next two days will see visitors taking part in a series of photography tutorials, including how to set up and edit for the best results. Locations will include luscious greenery, underground tunnels, and a secluded beach, as well as St. Peter’s Church, the oldest church in Bermuda.
The package starts from US$999 (€806) per person, including lodging, travel and spa treatments. Trips must be booked before 26 April for a travel time between 17 and 20 May 2018.
More information on the Vacation Envy Package is available at the official Cheap Caribbean website.
