Dine in Gettysburg's oldest stone-walled home, built in 1776 and rumored to be the famous Underground Railroad's first stop north of the Mason–Dixon line. The food is average, but the setting, all candlelit and creaky, is great. Springhouse Tavern, a cool, rock-walled basement, has a cheaper bar menu, with burgers and soups. There's even a 'porridge of the day.'
