Millennium Biltmore Hotel

Downtown Los Angeles & Boyle Heights

Graced with chandeliers, Renaissance-inspired ceilings and legend (the Academy Awards were founded in the Crystal Ballroom in 1927), this grand dame has hosted generations of dignitaries. The indoor pool is an art deco beauty, though the modestly sized, dated rooms are less inspiring. That said, the beds are wonderful and we love the framed stills of movies shot on-site.

Parking is $50 per night Monday through Thursday, and $42 per night Friday to Sunday.
