Whistlers Campground

Jasper Town & Around

Closed indefinitely in 2019 for a comprehensive renovation, Whistlers is the granddaddy of Jasper campgrounds and one of North America's largest, with hundreds of wooded sites and a full list of amenities, including showers, wheelchair access, a kids' playground and a theater where interpretive programs are staged. It's 3.5km south of Jasper Town and linked by a well-used recreation path.

When it reopens – only the most optimistic expect renovations to be finished in 2020, but check with Parks Canada – it will boast a host of new facilities and revamped campsites, ensuring its continued status as Jasper's flagship campground for the rest of the 21st century.
