If you’ve been dreaming of la dolce vita in the Eternal City, you’re in luck. Homebase Abroad, a travel company specializing in high-end villas in Italy, has just added Villa Clara to their portfolio of luxury rental properties. Originally designed by Sebastiani in 1929, the accommodation has been restored to its full glory Art Deco style by celebrated designer Jacques Garcia, a French architect best known for his contemporary interiors of Parisian hotels like La Mamounia, Hotel Costes and Royal Monceau.

Located on a prestigious corner lot at the top of the Villa Borghese in the quiet residential Parioli neighborhood, the luxury palazzo boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms and houses up to eight guests, with a full-time staff who attends to their every need.
The villa also offers off-street parking, a fitness center, Roman baths, swimming pool, massage room and a 360-degree rooftop terrace that’s the perfect spot to take an early morning espresso or make a late night Prosecco toast. The hallmark of Villa Clara’s Art Deco style is a fan-shaped floor plan that unfolds over five levels and 1250-square meters and is expressed through geometric shapes and spaces, zoological themes, natural materials and elements that meld the ancient and the modern.
“We have not in twenty-four years seen any private home in Rome that is of this quality or size,” declares Solomon. “This is really a villa in dimension and amenities, not just an apartment, [but] a place to come with friends and really enjoy the city as a cultural destination, to deepen your appreciation for Rome as a whole.”
Solomon says the Italian capital has year-round appeal but that the city is especially inviting between October and April when the crowds have thinned and the weather is delightful.
