Uganda has defeated Spain by a margin of almost four to one in a recent popularity poll for would be tourists. The poll was created late last week by the UK’s Guardian after Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni stated that his nation of Uganda had more to offer visitors than many European countries, particularly Spain. Museveni believed all that was holding his country back was proper promotion. The final numbers to the 'Uganda or Spain: where would you prefer to go on holiday?' poll were 79% for Uganda and 21% for Spain. However, many participants noted that while Uganda had much to offer visitors, its stance on gays was tainting its reputation. Read more: observer.ug
