After receiving thousands of entries from all around the world, the panel of experts at the Sony World Photography Awards finally chose the best across the ten categories.
These ten images are considered the best single image in the world across these categories, which include travel, portraiture and landscapes. If you'd like to see them up close, they'll go on display at an exhibition in Somerset House, London from 20 April. Out of these ten images, the overall winner of the Open Photographer of the Year will be chosen.
