Uttarakhand is all set to host the International Yog Festival from March 1 to March 7, 2021, in the yog capital Rishikesh. Hosted every year around this time the festival is one of the most happening festivals in the country for yoga and spiritual enthusiasts. The International Yog Festival 2021 this year is celebrating the vision to raise awareness worldwide about the benefit of yoga in daily life.

Tourism Minister, Uttarakhand Shri Satpal Maharaaz in a press release said, “International Yoga festival will be conducted from 1st to 7th March in yoga city Rishikesh. Rishikesh has always been the choicest location for saints, sages and yoga gurus. I am extremely delighted to welcome all the yoga enthusiastic people and tourists to Rishikesh to experience the traditional and ethnic yoga culture of India. With the practicing of different yogasanas, you all will be able to achieve mental and physical fitness”. This year, the festival in Rishikesh will celebrate the age-old Indian practice of traditional yoga, contemporary yoga, therapeutic yoga with discussions on celebrating ‘Shakti- the power of creation.

This year, yoga sessions will be taken by experienced yoga practitioners where attendees will get a chance to learn about the ancient art of detoxifying the body, mind, and soul. They will also get a chance to experience the exotic location, meet the most renowned yoga masters and gurus. Yoga enthusiasts will also be provided with a 50 hours Yoga Training Certificate along with this they will get a chance to learn more about Ayurveda & Naturopathy, Acupressure /Marma/ Sujok, Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, Astrology and Tarot Card, Chakra Healing, NeuroTherapies, Past Life Regression, Pranichealing and others. The event will also have Uttarakhand Haat where the attendees can shop goods for all yoga related needs and experience the taste and culture of Uttarakhand.
