The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) declared an indefinite unilateral truce that will take effect from Saturday. The announcement was made in Cuba, where peace talks have been taking place between FARC and the government of Colombia. The talks began in 2012 and seek to end five decades of conflict that has killed some 220,000 people. The leftist rebels said the truce will only end if they are attacked.
