A very rare albino whale that was first spotted off Mexico’s Baja California coast back in 2008 has returned to the same waters, this time with a calf.

White whales are an unusual sight and this mother, nicknamed ‘Gallon of Milk’, has been delighting visitors to the Ojo de Liebre Lagoon this season, where an annual survey of the gray whale population has been carried out for the last 20 years. Her calf is the standard gray colour.
