A stylish new tapas and wine bar has arrived in Castelo de Vide, making it all the more worthwhile to stick around after sundown. Small plates of shrimp with garlic, octopus salad, fried chicken and Spanish-style tortilla – plus cheese and sausage boards – go nicely with the affordable local wines.
It's set in a former bottling factory, and the vintage machinery is artfully displayed throughout. Don't miss the back room, which hosts changing art exhibitions – plus the occasional night of live music and other cultural fare.
