Dancing Bear Lodge

East Tennessee

Stylish cabins dot a pretty 36-acre woodscape at Dancing Bear, which resembles a summer camp for adults. Guests can rise early for wildlife viewing at Cades Cove, 9 miles away, then return to the lodge to wander its paths or pedal the Townsend Bicycle Trail on a lodge bike. At day's end, enjoy a mountain-inspired gourmet dinner at the on-site Appalachian Bistro.

All cottages have at a minimum a small refrigerator and a microwave, while some have full kitchens. Don't miss the homemade granola at breakfast.

Pets are $50 per stay.
