Hands down Penzance's most entertaining hotel, this converted town house on Chapel St has been renovated with impeccable taste, marrying period architecture with modern boutique style. It's full of detail: Robert's radios, roll-top baths, antique furniture, old tea chests and the odd wall mural or two. The Loft rooms are lovely, particularly the luxurious Lookout.
Several rooms can be configured for kids and families, and pets can be accommodated too. The spacious cottage with sitting room and log-burner is ideal for long stays. The restaurant, the Cornish Barn, is very good too.
