Tornionlaakson Maakuntamuseo

Lapland

Tornio's local historical museum was founded in 1914 and has an interesting, recently renovated collection of old artefacts and costumes. Its Encounters on the Border exhibition traces the valley's history on the Finnish and Swedish sides from the last ice age to the present day. Interpretive touch screens are in English, Finnish and Swedish.
