Observatorio Astronómico

Bogotá

Conceptualized by celebrated Colombian botanist José Celestino Mutis, the 1803 tower is reputedly the first astronomical observatory built on the continent. It's possible to visit at set times, but you must reserve three days ahead. Email the names, telephone numbers, passport numbers and makes, serial numbers and colors of any cameras (phones or otherwise) of all in your party to reserve a spot.
