Welcome to Cooloola Coast
Stretching for 50km between Noosa and Rainbow Beach, the Cooloola Coast is a remote strip of long sandy beach backed by the Cooloola Section of the Great Sandy National Park. Although it’s undeveloped, the 4WD and tin-boat set flock here in droves, so it’s not always as peaceful as you might imagine. If you head off on foot or by canoe along one of the many inlets or waterways, however, you’ll soon escape the crowds. The coast is famous for the Teewah coloured sand cliffs, estimated to be about 40,000 years old.
