Connected to Phillip Island by a bridge near Newhaven, Churchill Island is a delightful working farm where Victoria’s first crops were planted. Its historic homestead and garden is surrounded by paddocks of grazing highland cattle and looks out to fabulous ocean views. There are several pleasant walking tracks looping around the island. Time your visit for farm activity demonstrations, including sheep shearing, cow milking and watching working sheep dogs in action.
The cafe is another reason to drop by with house-made pies and local wines to enjoy with the views.
