Visitors to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania are in for a special treat this summer as the Main Garden Fountain has been unveiled and will feature in daily water performances. Closed for refurbishment since 2014 at a cost of $90 million, the revitalised garden offers stunning fountain performances and inspiring new features for guests to enjoy. Longwood is currently hosting a 'Summer of Spectacle,' and a new exhibit Water & Wonder – The Spectacular Main Fountain Garden Shows, is on view until 30 September.

The revitalisation includes more than four thousand pieces of carved, ornamental limestone that were salvaged, cleaned, and repaired by stone carvers from around the world. The water theatrics of the Main Fountain Garden are a feat of design and engineering that rely on the most advanced technologies available, uniting the fountain’s fully restored “Legacy Displays” with a new suite of fanciful fountain effects including basket weave and flame nozzles.

See Longwood Gardens for further information.
