In the last few years, stylish cabins and cleverly-designed prefabricated houses have really emerged as viable alternatives to traditional housing. Now, one company has unveiled a truly ground-breaking creation; a 3D-printed house with artificial intelligence that can pop up anywhere.

Called Haus, the prefabs underwent a long design process, but have started shipping to customers this month. Earthquake proof and move-in ready, Haus homes have been made with sustainability and self-sufficiency in mind, and have solar panels on the roof that can generate enough energy in winter to warm the property. “We are reinventing the house with the purpose to design and build homes that fit the future. This modern house combines autonomous and off-the-grid capabilities, fast and solidly built technology using 3D-printing, and the ability to make its own decisions with AI Smart Home system,” a representative of Haus said.

Haus works equally well in hot climates and has the capabilities to run without fuel or gas. The houses are available in three models, with the mOne being configured as a kitchen and bathroom, the mTwo being laid out as a two-bedroom single-family house with kitchen and bathroom and the gigantic two-story mFour (starting at one million dollars). The first two models require no foundation and come with a ten-year warranty. Optional technology features include window-integrated smart blinds, remote control tinted windows, off-grid water and sewage water generation from air humidity, a digital recirculating shower system, motion sensors, additional earthquake and hurricane resistance. In a humorous piece of marketing, Haus has claimed that all of its units are completely zombie resistant, just in case.

According to the company, Haus units contain a cloud-based monitoring and central diagnostic system can locate maintenance issues before they appear, and are up to 20 times more efficient than the average American home. The homes are available to ship internationally and can be paid for in monthly instalments starting from $1163 for 240 months.

More information on Haus is available at the official website.
