Authorities in Brazil have confirmed that there is no possibility that the Olympic Games, taking place from 5-21 August, will be cancelled because of the Zika virus outbreak.

President Dilma Rousseff's chief of staff Jaques Wagner has stressed that those coming to Brazil for the games - spectators and athletes - face zero risk unless they are pregnant women. President Rousseff has authorized health and sanitation inspectors to use force and call in the police if necessary to gain access to private buildings to eradicate breeding grounds for mosquitoes. The Brazilian health ministry says that 25 percent of the country's 49 million homes have already been inspected. Read more: bbc.com
