Yağ Camii

Eastern Mediterranean

The Yağ Camii, with its imposing portal and typical Seljuk-style architecture, started life as a Crusader church dedicated to St James but was converted into a mosque in 1501. It got its name from an oil bazaar that once stood in front of it.
