The Tarsus Museum, which was at the time of research in the process of moving from its former location in the city’s cultural centre to a disused government complex several hundred metres to the northeast, counts in its collection a small but interesting trove of ancient statuary, coins (one of which dates back to the 6th century BC) and other artefacts going back to the Hellenistic period and beyond.
