Baños del Almirante

Valencia

These Arab-style baths, constructed in 1313, functioned continuously as public bathing facilities until 1959. It's worth dropping in if you're passing by. Strategically placed buckets and piped sounds of water add a little atmosphere, but it could do with more information. Going upstairs to see the roof, caked with pigeon droppings and cigarette ends, takes away from the romance.
