Nussbach Distillery

Upper Austria

A twisting 14km drive southwest of Bad Hall brings you to this rural distillery, which is famed for its liqueurs made from summer-harvested green walnuts from its groves, and herbs and spices including cloves. cinnamon, peppermint and star anise (the result tastes like Christmas). It also produces walnut oils. Call ahead before setting out to make sure some is around.
