The boss Mr Cheng charges hotel prices, but his concoctions are nuanced and unusual. He also makes an Instagram-worthy performance of his labour, talks about tannin and tea-making in the Song dynasty, and serves his drinks in bowls.
Cheng's Store is right behind Yue Kee Roasted Goose Restaurant, a minute's walk away. Mr Cheng is often invited to give lectures on tea-making at local universities, so do call before you go to make sure the shop's open.
