Sunbursts, surfboards and a giant superslide are all on deck at the Paradise Pier Hotel, the smallest (472 rooms), cheapest and maybe the most fun of the Disney hotel trio. Kids will love the beachy decor and game arcade, not to mention the pool and the tiny-tot video room filled with mini Adirondack chairs.
Large-ish rooms are just as spotlessly kept as at the other hotels and are decorated with colorful fabrics and custom furniture; the beach ball cushions on the beds give new meaning to 'throw pillow' and there are fold-down beds for an extra sleeper.
The hotel connects directly to Disney California Adventure. It also has the best views of the parks – request a room with a partial view of Paradise Bay’s World of Color show; you can stream the soundtrack on your in-room TV.
