Palais de Justice

Lyon

Facing the river in old Lyon, the grandiose neo-classical Palais de Justice is well worth a gander.

It was here that Klaus Barbie, the Gestapo head of Lyon during WWII, was sentenced to life imprisonment for crimes against humanity in 1987.
