With Delhi reopening and lockdown restrictions easing, restaurants are buzzing once again. Many new places are coming up too. We bring you a list of the hottest new dining options in Delhi and Gurugram.
My Love Triangle
My Love Triangle is the latest pizza place in town and promises to be different from every other in the business. My Love Triangle pizzas are made on the go in specially designed vans while they travel to your place. This means that food arrives at your doorstep within minutes of cooking. Made with hand-stretched dough, special tomatoes and parma ham from San Marzano and the freshest local cheeses, it is served in unique terracotta platters that keep the crust and temperature intact. Add-ons like garlic bread, salads, antipasti, and specially curated beverages are made using locally sourced ingredients. “Most orders reach the customer either cold, soggy, misshapen, we hope to solve these problems while also serving the best-tasting Neapolitan pizzas on this side of the world, ” says Ashutosh Mahendru, founder of MLT. The service is available in Gurugram for now and will soon be in Delhi too. Order directly.
Sumdimsum
Just when you thought chef Vikramjit Roy, Vir Kotak and Anurodh Samal were done launching brands, there comes a new one. Sumdimsum is the latest offering from the camp that is well known for names like Hello Panda and Park Street Rolls & Biryani. Exclusively curated meal bowls, dimsum baskets and desserts make it ideal for busy work days and week nights. Packed with a starter, a salad, a main dish, a staple and a dessert, the meal bowl is a treat even for a single diner. The dimsums meanwhile are ideal for a snacking anytime of the day. Both are priced reasonably without any compromise on quality. “Our intent is to extend good quality and nutritious meals to everyone, ” says chef Roy. Sumdimsum is available in Delhi and Gurugram. Order directly.
Ye Old Bakery
No, this is not a new place. Yes, it is the same Ye Old Bakery that Delhi has loved for almost four decades, but now it is all set to welcome you in a brand new avatar. Set inside one of the oldest hotels in Delhi, The Claridges, Yet Old Bakery was formally launched in 1983 but has been making its famous corn pudding since pre-independence days. The pudding, which has no corn by the way, was created for the British guests who missed their traditional sponge with custard, but stayed on even after they left. Today, it is one of the most iconic desserts of Delhi. With the relaunch of Ye Old bakery the dessert is back in its original form as is chef Mahendra Singh. Many other iconic dishes are back too. “We have brought back Delhi’s favorite bakery in a brand new avatar and integrated it with our new menus at Seville and Jade, ” informs the Executive Chef, Vivek Rana. Ye Old Bakery is located at The Claridges, New Delhi and delivers across Delhi. Order directly.
