I’m all about seizing the day. Starting when I was a small kid I’ve travelled and lived all over the world — from Sri Lanka and Greece to Ecuador, Zanzibar and Antarctica. I love hardcore adventure: I shacked up on the Ice for a year, crossed the Pacific by sailboat, scuba-dived in a shark tank, etc. I began travel writing professionally at Harvard University and lately for Lonely Planet I’ve focused on Iceland, France, Italy, Greece and Antarctica. Mumbai’s marquee restaurant and the winner of umpteen awards, The Table is all set to pop up at The Lodhi in a first of its kind collaboration.

Founded in 2011 by Gauri Devidayal and Jay Yousuf, The Table is renowned for an extensive palette of international cuisines inspired by their travels around the world. From the introduction of small and large plates, to giving diners an authentic farm-to-table experience with their very own farm produce, The Table has done it all and has been a trendsetter in the industry from the very beginning.

“The Table was just marking its 10 year anniversary when the opportunity to do a pop-up at The Lodhi presented itself, ” says Gauri. “We had been wanting to bring the experience to Delhi for a very long time but finding the right partner was imperative. So, when we were approached by The Lodhi, we didn't think twice about it. This has been a difficult year for the industry but collaboration and working together is what's got us through it, and this is just one more example of that, ” says Gauri.

The menu, curated by Jay and Gauri especially for the pop up, includes The Table classics like Crab Royale, Australian Lamb Shank and Duck Salad with Hoisin Glaze while their signature cocktails include Beetroot Mezgroni, Oaxaca Collins, McMahon Line, and Cucumber Saketini. Non-alcoholic drinks like fruity concoctions like Kalingad and Mick Jaggery are also on offer.
